Make Up and Nutrition Nuggets

IMG_9442 Nik gave us some nuggets to think about and open our minds to further questions and research on the pillars that are most applicable to each of us as individuals.  The 7 Pillars of Paleo are just some good basic knowledge to create go out and dig deeper!  What is important for you as an individual in your nutrition plan?  Are you weighing, measuring, and recording to compare to your personal performances to gauge the affect of your food choices in quality and quantity and timing of the macros you intake across your day?  Are you exercising too much or too little?  Getting the intensity you need to create optimal changes or doing too much volume and wearing yourself down?  How much sleep do you really need and are you truly getting it?  Is it in a cool, dark, and quiet place or are there interruptions you weren't aware of that disturb that rest? The cumulative affect across a week can be detrimental to your health and performance!  Maybe you want to know how much sun you are getting, and if sunscreen affects that quantity...where is your Vitamin D level?  Is there such a thing as too much or too little water?  How much water should you drink?  Probably more than you are!  And, awareness was brought to the importance of community.  Working out with a group of people, sharing the adversity, being inspired, learning from others.  Working out alone can actually undermine overall health and performance.  Choose the people you surround yourself for various specific reasons.  They don't always need to be exactly like you.  Maybe someone lifts well but doesn't interact with people all that well.  Lift with them and learn.  Maybe someone is a magnet for people wanting to be around them all the time, but their nutrition isn't optimal.  Be around them to create and learn that dynamic personality trait for yourself.  The people we surround ourselves with are a reflection of who we are.
